Reviews
Great little burger joint. Enjoyed the service as well as the hospitality from the owner.
Food was great, the chicken sandwich was encredibly hot and amazingly cooked. All the food came out at an exceptional time. the service was good other than not getting lettuce on one of our sandwiches wich is an quick and easy fix. The ambiance of this restaurant was very old timey and cute. The chocolate shake i got with my chicken sandwich was amazing and the chicken was thoroughly cooked through and still hot when it came out. Other than a few dust spots in the corner of the restaurant it was really clean. I will definitely be back !
review based on my togo order of a BIG SWISS & o-rings. if you are looking for route 66 good old days nostalgia stop in. if you are looking for upscale, keep on trucking down the road. a group of us were in town and decided to try a slice of americana at Swiss Inn. several of us opted for the Big Swiss since it looked to be the featured item. none of us were quite sure what it was or what to expect. it turned out to be similar to a chicken fried steak sandwich, usually made with a chopped/pressed beef that is breaded and fried. the meat was tender and the breading was nice and crispy. it could have used a good dash of salt. i opted for no lettuce, but did get the "hot sauce", which is similar to a spicy ketchup. the toasted bun was soft but held up to the meat and sauce. i enjoyed the sandwich and can see how it could be crave-able. something about the blend of everything together made it pretty tasty. i will offer the disclaimer that i have to have a mcrib every year (ONLY 1! 2 ruins it!), something about the sauce, bun, pickles, onions and formed rib patty the miss for me was the onion rings. frozen is ok, maybe even expected, but these just werent good. kinda greasy and soggy batter fried. they got our parties to go order right, so kudos for that!
This brings back childhood memories!! Every time my family would visit Lebanon, we would stop here for a burger and a grape glacier punch. My mother has been eating here since the 60s. I'm glad to see it is still here and it still taste the same. Yummy!!
Amazing sandwiches, fries, mushrooms, cheese sticks! The steak sandwiches are the best! Very friendly staff and Lonnie is great too!
